Where is the most beautiful hiking route near Einsiedeln? Its Furggelen!
It is a cottage on the mountain just behind Einsiedeln. You can walk up from different locations. You can start in Brunni, in Unteriberg, Oberiberg or even in Einsiedeln. I prefer the route from Brunni up to Holzegg to Furggelen and from there down to Brunni.
You can do the route in summer and in winter, with skis or with snow shoes. The great thing is the panorama. You see on all sides moutaines: low mountains, high moutains and even some glaciers.
Beginning from October to April SAC is in charge of the cottage. You can even stay there overnight if you want. Its just great!
Kindle direct publishing
I have a kindle since a couple of years and like this beautiful device.
Some weeks ago I found out how to create an ebook for kindle! And the first thing I did was of course to create my own ebook and transfer it to my kindle.
Now I found also out that it is quite easy to pulish such an ebook at amazon.
And my next action was of course to do exactly that: publish my own book! Here it is: my first ebook you can buy at amazon!
There is one bike tour I try to do every summer. It is quite hard and I normally need 3 and half an hour. But it is a very nice tour. I really like it.
First you have to go back to Unteriberg and from there a tracking route up to Oberiberg where you arrive near the church and just can continue up to Roggenstock. There it is very steep and I need normally almost an hour until I reach Adlerhorst, which is the name of a restaurent allmost on top of this mountain.
The last part of this way you have to bear the bike and it is very exhausting. From there you continue to Spierstock where you again have to carry the bike. But here is the highest point of the tour and sometimes I make a rest in the restaurent there. The hardest part of the tour is done.
The way down is the really interesting thing. You go down from Spierstock, a quite bad way where you have to be careful. After about one hour, you reach to foot of Grosser Mythen, the mountain on the picture above. Down left where you only see clouds is Schwyz.
Back to Einsiedeln you have to go down on the right side another 20 kilometers and there you are back at home. This year, I had an accident with one of my wheels and was not able to drive down the whole way but had to go with the bike. My wife took me home from Brunni. Wonderful tour! I like it!
There is a Swiss which creates games for kids. It is similar to Lego, the well known toy.
There is no special thing with Kiditec® but that my elder girl went to a photo shooting ot this company together with a couple of other kids from our nighbourhood. This happend because one of our nighbours wife knows someone from this company and they needed fotos for their newest campaingn.
I was very surprised to find my girls on top of the campaing but am very proud about this. We got the photo already weeks ago but both, my wife and me did not expect that this photo will become the top photo.
Hope this will also be something, my little taughter will be proud of when she is older. At the moment, she just does not realize what happened.
When we were young and when I was still living in Mauterndorf, the village where I grew up, we often went to Kärnten, which is the state located in the south of Austria.
There are a few lakes and the weather in summer is very warm. We went there for swimming and spent mostly the whole day there though it is only half an hour by car.
This year, I brought my two girls to my partents, to spend some weeks with them and before I returned to Switzerland, I went to Kärnten, together with my brother and his family.
It was like 20 years ago. We went to Wörthersee, which is a very famous lake. There was also a series on TV about a castle hotel located at this lake. The weather was very warm, the water was tremendous warm. I think it had 25 degree. It was a wonderful day. And the girls were very happy.
My brother took two bikes with him and we did a short tour round the lake in the morning. Was also very funny, only 40 kilometers, where you could go as fast a possible. We had one and half an hour.
I had to go to Hanoi to visit our team which is working for us now since about 3 years. We have at the moment 6 developers and 1 tester there. This was my first time, I was in Asia. Up to now I was a bit afraid of that continent. But with this travel, I have a totally different opinion.
Hanoi is a big, noisy and polluted city. But the people are very charming. For me all streets looked the same and I had never an idea, in which area I was. But this would change if you are there for a longer time.
On the last day, I went with a motorbike to down town. Was much fun. Most of the people in Hanoi have a motorbike instead of a car. There must be millions of motorbikes driving around every day. For our experience of traffic in Europe, traffic in Hanoi is total chaos, no rules. But that makes it the more interesting. Next time, I will try to get my own motorbike and then I will dive into the traffic and have more fun.
We are working with SCRUM now for more than a year. But I did my first SCRUM training a couple of days ago. Was a very interesting training with a lot of nice people. I the three days duration of the training, it never got boored.
One picture was especially impressive: it shows the product backlog as an iceberg. The story is the following.
The product backlog consists of epics (very large user stories), user stories and grains of sand. It is not necessary to detail and estimate epics until they become part of the release backlog.
And it is not necessary to detail user stories into grains of sand until they become part of the sprint planning. This picture is very nice and easy to memorize. Thank you DasScrumTeam.
I bought also the new kindle. The new one is smaller with the same size of the display, has less wieght and a higher display resolution. The new one is withoug GSM support, but I need to download new books only at home where I have wireless.
The best benefit of the kindle is that you can download a trial of a book where you can read the first chapter. I more than once downloaded such trials and found out that the book is not what I have expected.
It happend more than once that I bought a book which seemed to be very interesting and afterwards I did never read it to the end. Thats over now though I still by books. Not all of the books are available as kindle downloads up to now.
The good thing is, that there are now also German books available, think more than 60.000. And lot of them (mostly old literature: Goethe and so on) are for free.
